I liked it, Jill. Where might one acquire sheets and the backtrack for this piece?

Thanks, Z :)

I got the karaoke backtrack from here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oieJ7uWDyTI

I have no idea where to find the official sheet music, but google images led me to this (funny enough, for ocarina! ): http://i304.photobucket.com/albums/nn184/OcarinaMan333/Ponyo.jpg

Just a little teaser of a song that Aparna and I wrote together. It's still in the process of being recorded since our harmonies aren't perfect, but it'll be done soon!
Aparna is the same friend in the previous duet I posted :)

There are lots of issues with my playing (I have much to learn!), and my recording equipment leaves a lot to be desired, but here's my latest recording. It's the Stone Tower Temple theme from Majora's Mask!

Well done Tawny. But I have to disagree with you on one point - hip-scarves are definitely instruments. :)

I covered Judy and Mary's Sobakasu (aka Rurouni Kenshin OP1 or Freckles) on the Hamlett Bb and Eb ocarinas. I'm supposed to add a second ocarina for accompaniment to the previous recording as part of Danny's challenge; but I thought I'd tackle the song with a regular backtrack first.

Here is my latest Soundcloud, this was part of Danny Delaney's ocarina challenges! The first challenge was to record a tune where a solo ocarina "sings." The second challenge was then to add a second ocarina part. I chose "The Ash Grove," and though there are a few little flubs, I am quite happy with the result! And really tickled that when I posted it on my FB page, I got a "like" from Kuolong Pan! The melody is on my Rotter C1 long soprano, the harmony on my Night by Noble alto. Anyway, here it is!

OK, once again into the frying pan! My first effort at a recording with my Becker alto G Irish whistle. I really like my guitar backing track, the Taylor GSMini has a great sound, but on the whisle I am still mostly just trying to play the right notes without squeaking too much! I think I will get there!

Does it take a lot of air? You aren't getting through each line on one breath, and with most whistles you should be able to.

Probably just me. Brand new to the instrument, this is an alto G, quite a bit longer and larger bore than the high D Parks Ghost Whistle I was given in Dallas, and it definitely takes more air than that one. I have a Becker low D coming, and it is quite a bit larger still. Also I have, for no known reason, measurable impaired lung function. But mostly just me needing to learn how to play the dang thing.

I will probably re-record the whistle track when I gain a little more proficiency! I am pretty happy with the guitar track though, so I'm keeping that!

No ocarina in this one, but guitar, mandolin and irish whistle...and I ...gulp...try to sing. Actually I like this one a lot. The great Steve Earle - Sharon Shannon tune Galway Girl! And don't be too harsh on me, I mostly try to confine my singing to the shower! Give it a listen!.

Thanks, Izzy, but "gentlemen"? You might mean "gentleman," nobody calls me that, but hey, I am old, so why not. I multitracked it all, I have been playing mandolin for all of three days, so I stuck with the chords in the first position. I am getting much more comfortable on the Irish whistle although I still do squeak a bit too much at times. I have been playing guitar, off and on, for a long time (subtract 1960 from the current year, do the math). The singing idea was touch and go, but when I listened to the final mix, I was...not embarrassed!
