I'd say that depends on what kind of an ocarina you want next and how much you plan to spend. You need to narrow it down.

Perhaps it would be good to do some research in the 'Regional Focus' area on the main page of the forum where you can learn about the types of ocarinas and makers for American Ocarinas, Asia-Pacific Ocarinas, and European Ocarinas.

Do you know yet whether you are looking for a transverse or cross-finger (pendant)?

Are you looking for a single chamber or multi-chamber?

Do you want plastic, clay, or wood?

What is your price range? $30-$50, $50-$100, $100-$200, or $200+?

Those things will help narrow down the places to buy from.

My ocarina has no hair...either

Below are a couple of websites to look at:
http://www.ocarinashop.net/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=1&Itemid=2 (may or may not ship to USA)
http://musiquedeterre.fr/main.php?p=1# (the Gosselink Alto Sol (AG) and Tenor Do (BC) are my two favourite ocarinas in these tunings.
Hamlett makes a very good AC ocarina (need to contact him here or find his ocarinas on ebay).
http://www.stlocarina.com/ (STL has some excellent ocarinas also)
http://www.nobleocarina.net/english/ (Noble ocarinas are very good, but I have heard bad things about their doubles/triples - also their AC plastic $20.00 ocarina is excellent)
http://www.focalink.com.tw/product_en.php (Focalink ocarinas are very good, and they have a great variety)
http://www.pankuolong.url.tw (these ocarinas only just recently became available to buyers worldwide - I have one on order)

I hope this helps. This list is not exhaustive, and there are many other companies selling ocarinas.

Roger

I can't believe that I forgot to mention Mountain Ocarinas. They offer inline ocarinas in SG and AC tunings. I really like his SG. They are easy and comfortable to play. Karl and Susan Ahrens are great people to work with, and there is basically a lifetime warranty on their ocarinas. He also offers a course on how to read music and play their ocarinas which I think is excellent. Here is the website:

There's always this link: http://www.ebay.com/sch/hamlettocarinas/m.html

Yes, I know. I'm shamelessly plugging my own ocarinas. Sorry. The opportunity was just too tempting. It's like an addiction.

Seriously though, eBay quite often has some good deals. There are a few reputable sellers that are only found on eBay that are worth taking note of. There are many others, of course, but these are ones that I know have proven trustworthy and quite a few people of TON have purchased from them.

Dreams-ctroo sells Solist and Bon ocarinas among others: http://www.ebay.com/sch/dreams-ctroo/m.html

Teddytseng sells TNG much cheaper than STL: http://www.ebay.com/sch/teddytseng/m.html

Spencer: http://www.ebay.com/sch/spencersocarinas

Hamlett has the best Alto C at the best price: http://www.ebay.com/sch/hamlettocarinas/m.html

I've even set up a saved search on eBay that filters out a lot of the stuff you don't really want to see when searching for serious ocarinas. Just search under "Woodwinds" and enter this line in the search box:
ocarina -Peru -whistle -aztec -pottery -toy -traditional -peruvian -indian -woodwind -"hand painted" -macaw -monkey -nasca -pan -"Mel Bay" -pipes -gecko -fish -mosong
that should get you a good list of ocarinas on eBay from all different sellers.

Holy cow! I just noticed that I did it again! Somebody help me please! :shame: It's so embarrassing.

If you are on a budget, you can't go past Taobao.
I'm surprised Jhaemes hasn't already told you that - He seems to think he is the self-proclaimed poster boy for them. XD
He's the expert, not me. I'll point him towards this topic, and I'm sure he will be of assistance. ^^

I do not "seem to think" anything about being a poster boy.

If I can't recommend a website where people can get ocarinas for cheap, without receiving ridicule and childish comments like that I won't bother. I do not find this amusing at all.

Jhaemes,
Just keep on recommending any website where we can get good ocarinas cheap (with or without ridicule). You are helping a lot of us to get the ocarinas we want...cheaper, and we all appreciate it. :)
