^If I would see something like that, I would probably assume I'm having an interesting dream.

Some people paint with blood. Morbid, yes, but very striking.
That reminds me of an article I read, they can also make sculptures by freezing it. A man once sculpted his own face. Pretty extreme :S

Actually, this just reminded me of something one of my painting teachers in college told us. Two obscure art forms that are disturbing, to say the least. They're just really gross. I'll put them in spoilers for people who'd rather not hear about it. Don't click the spoilers if you're squeamish.

This one's just gross

This one's gross, but also vaguely NSFW

And another one I was told of by Fysh.

This one's also gross

Yeah, I've heard about the tin cans. Modern art in a nutshell, or should I rather say in a tin can.

Her forms weren't particularly obscure, but she's not as well known an artist as she ought to be:

We have a few major works in Edinburgh, notably the murals she did for the Catholic Apostolic Church, which is like a piece of Byzantium in Scotland.

The famous Willy Ronis photo of the little boy carrying a baguette is just not the same without the bread. I can't say this gluten free art is an improvement on the original.

What next? Dairy free art for the lactose intolerant?

Obscure? Been reading all day about Post Media arts....it seems this University has some interesting grad school curricula. Unbelievable stuff..I'm hopeful.

I'm a sculptor/perfumist by trade....but my obscure art is aquarium aquascaping. I'm really terrible at it. I can grow the plants but they're very insistent on not looking landscapelike at all.

If you look it up there's some really amazing aquascaping out there. (not mine obviously).
