I'm that guy, remember?
I recently came into some money and am looking to buy a new mic, my CAD-U1 USB exploded on me for some unknown reason, so I was wondering what are some of the higher quality mics you guys have heard and if possible links to where I can buy them.

I use the Samson G-Track. :)

It's a really high-quality microphone with a built-in sound card, so it can record crystal clear nomatter what computer you've got.

It's a USB condenser mic BTW, and fits the sound of the oc very well. :)

It also has a mini-jack input if you play any electric instruments (including different cables so you can connect other electric instuments than the ones that uses mini-jack). :jumpy:

It also has a headphone output, so you can listen to recordings as well. :music:

It also features three "screw-like thingys" so you can adjust the overall volume, the microphone volume, and the instrumental input volume.

TheOcarinaComparator coming soon ^_^
You could use, as Glup said, a Samson mic, that seems to be great, even though I never tried any. You could also go for Audio-Technica that make really good microphones. You can look at this website: www.audiofanzine.fr to find something really good, but the website is in french only (you could try google translate though).
