I just regularly open any thread I want to read in a new browser tab, then if I answer or am done reading I just close that tab and the main forum tab is already open. Of course I have to refresh the main forum page every once in a while to see what's current.

You don't need any scrolling. There is no link at the bottom for aesthetic reasons.

It has very little friction, so I just give it a decent angular momentum and it rolls by itself all the way to the top in a few tenths of a second...
