As you may have noticed we now have an official shoutbox on our forum index. Make good use of it!  Keep in mind that the community guidelines still apply for this. This official ZetaBoards feature is only available to ZetaBoards Premium boards at the moment and still in beta testing. If you find any errors, please let the administration know via replying to this thread - we will forward this to ZetaBoards. The Shoutbox will soon be upgraded with new features as well. In the following days/weeks you should be able to collapse and expand it just like the other modules on the board frontpage and extended browser support should be added. Known issues - The Archive doesn't refresh to remove a message after a moderator clicks (X). The message is successfully removed though. (Only relevant to the great Modship of course.  )- If you click the refresh link, the posts in the box will switch to non-relative times. - The Archive displays all messages on a single page and will get long after many messages have been posted. Hm weird. The Shoutbox works properly in Firefox. Chrome and Safari seem to have problems.

Hm yeah I see... seems to be a browser issue, it works fine in Firefox 3. I will proceed testing it with other browser versions. |

Well as I said, it's still in beta and we are testing the features for ZetaBoards. You can be sure that it will be fixed soon and be upgraded with a lot of new features. Everyone will be able to use it soon. UPDATE: ZetaBoards is currently working on the shoutbox so you may experience posting issues across all browsers. Edited by Andy, Aug 25 2009, 05:48 PM.

i got Firefox 3.5.2 Works just fine btw: This new shoutbox feature is possible thanks to the generous donations. We really do appreciate the support, and hope for it to continue so we can maintain these new features

The shoutbox seems to work fine for now. If you have trouble posting, please let us know by naming your browser, its version number and the OS you are using. |

Great feature, never thought much of shoutbox' but here it I find it awesome. Great for smalltalk and/or those little questions that don't seem to be worth opening a topic for. Just noticed you've got to refresh to see new messages.  Maybe opening an IRC channel? That's free anyway (unless there is no "main" bot on the server so some peeps need to be online all the time etc).

There are lots of clients for IRC: Trillian, Pidgin, mIRC to name a few. But whatever peeps like, I just thought it would be fun to be able to talk to other ocarina enthusiast through a faster/easier medium as a forum.

Internet Explorer fails anyway. It works for me on Firefox, I've got the latest edition. I tried it on both Opera and Safari too They all work fine for me. One thing though, I like the shoutbox on top of the page. Well, I don't know, maybe because I am in another forum that has their shoutbox on top of their page. Other than that, yay for this new addition. |

Firefox is not the only secondary browser for Windows users out there.  Anyways, it's still in beta and I am sure that IE support will be added soon. |

I know there are more lol, but I prefer IE over all of them. (I was only mentioning FF because its the most common) However I do use Opera, just for the IRC client facilities. |

Hm, when it tells you to download something, is there a banner at the top of the screen saying "You are using an outdated browser." If there is you might want to use google chrome or firefox. |
