The Winners have already been announced! See here: Spoiler: click to toggle Dear TON members, We are glad to present the first Ocarina Network contest! A very generous member of the community has donated a beautiful set of Fabio Menaglio ocarinas as the prizes, and here is the video outlining what you must do: Video Link Details: Make a video which includes: -Talking about what the online ocarina community means to you -Playing a song on the ocarina which best suits the topic (and provide explanation) Video response it to the above video. Be as creative and imaginative as you can be. The best entry will receive a prestigious reward of a Fabio Menaglio set of THREE 10-hole Ocarinas (Alto C, Soprano G, Soprano C). Update: Thanks to some generous members of the community, this contest now also has a Mountain ocarina Set (C and G) and a WPN Double Pendant as additional prizes. So now we have a total of THREE prizes! Have fun! -special thanks to all TON staff who participated in this production, and the very generous people who donated the ocarinas End date: April 27th The video will be judged by a committee of TON staff and the person who donated the prizes.  Hahaha!! That video was SO funny!! Wonderful job, TONians!  I guess now I have to get my brain to start working really hard and try to figure out how to win those ocarinas.

I was being facetious. Of course everyone has an accent. There's no such thing as unaccented English. The only languages without accents are those spoken by few people, in a single small isolated region. ubizmo |

I suppose if you traveled enough and spent enough time with people who spoke differently, the accents would all cancel out to give you a neutral one... And DeepRed, to me at least, your accent sounds more English than Irish, and when asked what day April 27th was, what exactly did you say? Awesome! Loved the video. I'm running an insane schedule the next 2 months but I'll definitely post if I can. About accents- I'm from Pennsylvania, born and raised there, but I get told all the time by other Pennsylvanians "You have an accent...is that English/European?"  ??? Maybe it's because I've lived and served with people from Korea, Australia, Japan, and New Zealand for a couple years, or maybe it's just because I insist on speaking clearly and refuse to say Pittsburgh things like: "I'll see all yins later. I'm gonna warsh my clothes, red up my room, and go dahntahn n the afternahn n get chipped ham n'at."
