Well hello there. I think some of you already know me. I'm Rogers1977 on YouTube and I have two plastic 10 holes in C and a clay 12 hole in C (STL) and a little 10 hole soprano in E (I think....) from the 5th Station (halfway up) on Mt. Fuji, Japan. I have been playing for about a year and I love it. I don't get to play much because I have a band and I play in the marching band. I am also a drummer, semi-pianist, and am trying to learn trumpet. My main language is English and I am learning French in high school and I also know some ASL. Feel free to come to me if you need translations from French to English. I'll try my best, but I'm not very fluent. Hello Everybody!! Hey, why does it say "old oc" by my avitar? |

Heya. I'm Sweet Nightmare, but you can call me SN since I'm not comfortable giving out my name on the internet. Not 'till I know some people on the site, anyways. I'm a cellist, mainly, but I'm also capable of playing violin, viola(a bit), and I sing. I also want to learn to play ocarina(obviously) so that's why I'm here. I'm currently saving up for one. I also make all my own siggies, because I'm into Graphics design, and sometimes I make my own avvies too. I also like writing. As you can see, I've got a rather short attention span. I love music, no matter what form, whether I'm playing or listening. I appreciate instrumental music. Oh, and before I forget, I'm a pokedork and Tim Burton is my hero. ^-^ And Johnny Depp too. And Sephiroth is the BEST FF villain ever, in my opinion. I hate Cloud, but he's one of the better FF heroes. Actually, instead of me telling you this, you can just go to the Final Fantasy Wiki and search for me, I have the same username as I have here. Anyways, nice to be here and I hope to get my ocarina soon so I can start playing. ((I hope I'm not an utter failure at it...)) |

hehe, utter failures at music are the ones too scared to even give it a go. If you've got the guts to try, you're no failure. Plus if you can play something as complicated as a cello or violin, an ocarina should be pretty easy for you to pick up. One thing I've seen quite a lot is people talking about how easy it is to learn. I never did understand why people are so worried about giving out their name online... But I guess that's up to the individual... First names generally aren't all that unique. ...Except for my girlfriend. Google her name and her myspace and facebook are the only relevant search results... |

^-^ Thanks guys. I've heard the ocarina's pretty easy, but after my disastrous attempt at playing the recorder when I was younger... Regardless, it looks easier. None of that complicated crap about doing something with your mouth to get the higher notes. This is Halloween, everybody make a scene! Trick or treat 'till the neighbors gonna die of fright! ^-^ I have a line up of the first things I'm going to try to teach myself once I get my ocarina. Lugia's Song, Final Fantasy music(mainly from VII; I WILL find a way to play One Winged Angel!)), and Nightmare Before Christmas music. And I guess y'all are right. I have probably one of the most generic female names in existence that isn't 'Sue'. Laura. ((Oh, another little tidbit about me, I'm born and raised Texan and proud of it!)) rly srs cyantist here. I'm just starting up the Ocarina, but I have musical experience. I'm originially a Violin player, then I took up the Euphonium as well, and I mess around with the trumpet in Jazz band. Pretty much, music is my life. I've been contemplating buying one, and I finally am. The thing that really got me to do it was my AP Lit class lol. It's for our senior project, and we have to do something that interests us that we haven't done before. |

Hello everyone. My name is Kelli and I am new here. I just bought my first Ocarina a few weeks ago at Apple Festival in Kentucky and I can't wait to start learning how to play it. I've always wanted an Ocarina ever since I got the game LoZ: Ocarina of Time. My favorite color is blue and my favorite Zelda song is The Bolero of Fire from LoZ:OoT which I would love to learn. |

Hello everyone I'm Sillas (not my real name, actually :P) and I'm brazilian (yeah, no one is perfect) and I've researching about ocarinas sincethe beggining of the year, but it's quite difficult to actually buy one here, so I ended up finding out there's a famous handcraft stuff fair in my city and they sell ocarinas there, so I bought my 7-hole pendant and a 10-hole sweet potato last week, and I'm using some tabs to learn how to play some nice songs (mainly zelda, at first, because they're easy and good to learn) and I hope I can learn more and more here in the forum see ya around! |

Hi guys and girls. I'm Rika (it's actually Erika, but..meh) and I got my ocarina last weekend. It's a 12-Hole Tenor from STL Ocarina, and I'm really enjoying it so far. I'm learning how to sight-read sheet music while learning how to play ocarina. It's somewhat challenging, but fun at the same time. I hope to learn some very nice songs to play with this beautiful sounding instrument. |

Hoy, hoy. Name; Taite Seanloach. Yes, thas' my real name. (Tie-teh Shaun-low-ach.) I own a set of ivory Mountain Ocarina ten hole inlines, a STL twelve hole "Enigma," a songbird Zelda and a Pendant. I've been playing ocarina for about a week and a half. I recently came into a bit of money on a credit card I forgot I had and went nuts buying the little trinkets from Ebay, I've been interested in them ever since seeing Tapion in DBZ play the ocarina, I thought "That sounds like the flute from Zelda!" and that roped me in, considering I love musical instruments, and I love Zelda. I also play Guitar, Mandolin, Mountain Dulcimer, the five string Banjo aswell as the Dulcijo. I also like white chocolate. Mmm.. Break down, give it to meh.. |

Hey, My name is Ema, which is equivalent to English Emma, I was born and still live in Portugal. I collect ocarinas and I should have more than 4 or 5 by now,if I didn´t lose the rest of them somewhere in my house...Anyway, I always found them beautifull, but I had a little trouble blowing to make them work. Last year, I wanted to give it another try and the feeling is awesome.Although, I´m still trying to find the time to play them ( I´m a translator, but currently I do basicly what a secretary does), I´m connected to them. Now, I´m practicing with one. But I wanna play the others when I´m more confident...I not only want to learn more about them, but also meet you all fine people.

Hi, there! I'm DeadlyGlories, most of my online friends just call me DG, or just shorten it to either of the two words. Like so many people, I was drawn to ocarinas after playing Zelda, but had no clue they even existed until a couple of years ago. I currently have three ocs, an eight-hole Peruvian, an STL ten-hole pendant, and I just got a plastic ten-hole sweet potato, a couple of days ago. Rather disappointed with the sound of the plastic one, but hey, who needs great sound for practicing getting the fingering right? Anyway... I'm a huge fan of both musicals and RPGs (The D&D type, more than the video game type), and tend to focus on one thing for a while, then stop and come back later. If I don't post for a while, just look for me in the future, somewhere down the line, because I'll likely show up again.

Hello, I'm new and I was originally a fan of LoZ. It is playing LoZ ocarina of time that I found the ocarina. However, that is not the reason I like the ocarina. Through Youtube I fell in love with ocarinas by looking at the excellent musical skills of people such as Kissing, Mighticecream, and Docjazz4 (I don't believe Docjazz4 is in TON but the other two are). It was watching those videos that made me order my first ocarina. It is also through a link on Kissing's youtube page and on some of his vids that allowed me to find TON. I hope that I will further my understanding and my skill by being here. I look forward to being a proud member of TON. |

Hi everyone! I'm new here, but I've been following the activity on OU and more recently, TON for a few months now, so I figured it was time to introduce myself to everyone. I first encountered ocarinas through, of course, LoZ, but it wasn't until last year that my friend accidentally stumbled upon one of Docjazz4's videos (and subsequently others, like kissing88 and mightyicecream, as well as some professionals) while searching for Zelda cheats (figure that, eh?), and from there he and I decided we'd give it a try. We both ordered our first ocarina then, but due to some negative feedback from our suitemates, we stopped playing for a while. I've only recently picked it up again after getting a new ocarina, and I hope to continue from now on! I have two ocarinas: the first was the Songbird Extended Range Sweet Potato (cute little thing, fun to play), and the second is a Maparam Alto-C transverse, which is the only one I have up at my flat at uni. I'm a huge fan of all types of music and musical instruments, and I hope to master the ocarina once I get a few basic tweaks out of the way. Hope to meet you all and become another happy member of the TON family! -orange |

Hello there. I first saw an ocarina in LoZ (how could it be different). Last year in a museum, I bought my first oc (Peruvian). It actually sounds nice, but I didn't know how to play it and let it rest for a while. Now I found back my copy of the LoZ collector's ed. disk for gamecube and played OoT/MM again, I ordered a 12-hole ( Also, I play the electric guitar, so I'm not a complete stranger when it comes to music and its theory. Hope to find a part in this fine community Edited by Rho746, Oct 30 2008, 08:45 PM.

Well I've been prowling around on this board for little over a week so I guess I should introduce myself. Hi, my name is Marc and I live in San Antonio, Texas. I'm a weird geek who like most people got into the ocarina from the Legend of Zelda. My first ocarina was a cheap plastic one that gave a horrible sound; my parents had gotten it for me when I was 10. Of course it pushed me away from music for a bit. I tried my hand at the piano and guitar but neither could really express me. In my first week in high school; I was drawn to my first friends through the music that my friend to be played on her pendant from songbird. Finally, last year(nearly 10yrs later) I was able to get my own ocarina. It's a 5 hole pendant, from Rare Earth Flutes. I love it so much, that I've come to think of it as "my second heart." ^^ |

Hey, my names Drew. Been lurking around here lately as I've gotten more interested in ocarinas again. Many years back I bought some Zelda Oc but didn't care for the fingering requirements. About a year ago I got both the C and G Mountain Ocarinas which are nice, but I want something a bit more mellow for some of the music I'm working on. In terms of music, I played Flute and Piccolo in the school band for 4-5 years, took lessons in alto sax, then taught myself guitar bass and drums. I own way too many instruments given how poor I am, and I'm looking to add to that, for now, probably a 12 hole Focalink C. I was gassing (gear acquisition syndrome) for a double Maparam, but alas, I've no money... Music is awesome. I'm a big fan of Death, Ayreon, Cryptopsy, Iced Earth, Satriani. |

Hi, I´m Salia from Switzerland and I found this page by restlessly digging through the net searching for ocarina tabs that fit my ocarina of an unknown type (7 holes though). This page is totally awesome, thanks for making it! I´m 20 years old and currently studying at univeristy in Bern (capitol of Switzerland, yay^^). I hope that one day, I´ll be an ocarina master or at least a decent ocarina player, but either way, this page is going to help me. (oh, and I just started to play...at the moment I´m a real novice...it´s my first instrument ever.)
