Im looking into the Wishbone Ocarina From SongbirdOcarinas, and I am wondering if it is worth getting.

Anyone have anything to say about it? Good, or Bad?

(Im thinking its more of a collectors item than anything else)

Is the Wishbone model still available for direct purchase from Songbird? I don't see it listed on the website @_@

hmmm, might think of getting that, as the collectors item mainly, because i think it looks awesome.

Eh... for $30 I'd just save another $10 and get a little soprano from Focalink.

I mean it doesn't look bad, but you could get more useful things for the same money.

But I'm a practical guy.

I personally like more practical ocarinas with at least 12-hole range.
So not really an ocarina I would get.

But it still is a cool ocarina to get if you're in it for collection's sake and like how it looks :D

Myung did a short review of the wishbone at the end of this video, it's around 4:40

Also, here's someone else playing it

It seems like it has a very limited range. More of a collectors than an instrument

The four hole pendants are usually frowned upon for range,
but the thing is adorable and completely playable.

They novelty factor is quite high, and an open ended ocarina is :D

It definitely looks nice as a collector's item, if that's what you want it for, then go for it! But it's range is rather limited, so don't expect to play too many songs on it  It's still a nice item to have, though :)

OK, thanks, well, in the end if there are still some on the web, I'll prolly end up getting it . . . after I buy some more practical instruments :)

Great! My Zelda-based cosband definitely NEEDS one of those! We have a Twilight Princess Link, after all. He'll wear the Magic Armor. D:

And to pitch in my own :rupee: :rupee: , I've heard not as favorable things from owners and players. Definitely not a concert instrument or something to replace your current ocarina with. But it's really cute, and I'd get it when I have spare cash and wish to have a pretty ocarina collection hanging on my walls.
