Someone was looking for an American supplier of this exact style 9/10 hole ocarina, and Sixth's Street completely slipped my mind. How sad! Don't let it slip yours.

:nope:

The thing about Sixth Street is it seems like they come and go. I mean, once they moved, and disappeared for a year or something, and even allowed their website to lapse. Then they came back and sold only through eBay, but then seemed to quit selling again.

I see, I believe his name is Chris, at the Norman Medieval Faire every year~! My friend bought one of his ocarinas and we both agree that they sound gorgeous, though we think one note is a tiny bit off, but that's barely noticeable~!!

I bought 2 of their ocs off ebay a few years ago. One is a tenor 9 hole sweet potato (this was before they made 10 hole ocs). The other is a double hamony pitched in 4ths.

these days they seem to sell the 9 holes only but they sound great and that is what matters :rupee: :ocarina: :zelda:

I've known about these guys for a while now but I haven't looked at their site for a long time. The ocarinas do look nice but I haven't heard them, anyone have a youtube video where you play one or something?

So I returned to the Norman Medieval Faire this year, and Chris, the man who makes the Ocarinas fro Sixth Street Pottery had a new item~! A 12-Hole Ocarina of Time replica! It was gorgeous in looks and sound, and I really wanted one, but I was short $80. D:

Luckily, Chris was nice enough to let me take a picture to show you all!

Spoiler: click to toggle

Sadly, this ocarina is not available online as of yet, BUT he told me that he is going to begin putting them on eBay once he finalizes the design!

I was REALLY impressed with this ocarina, and I would have bought it if I had the money!

It looks like their 12 hole Zelda is up for sale. Price is $95.00 + shipping. Here's the Link. (Pun intended!)

I actually like how their 12-hole Zelda OoT looks. However, it's band isn't the shiny chrome that both STL and Songbird offer (and Panch too, from what I've heard). If it sounds really good, then it'd give everyone another choice as to which higher-end OoT replica to go for.

I like their selection, to be honest. It's nice and diverse, and actually offers 9, 10, and 12-hole ocarinas. However, I wonder what the range and fingering pattern of the 9-holes are :?

Anyone own one of their twelve hole models. I decided to purchase one the other day because I really liked the glaze and I've been interested in trying one. What do you guys think about them?

I haven't, but have been interested in how they sound, too. All of his sound sample seem to be the same... so when you get it, I'd be interested in hearing it! :)

Haha, sure I'll make a video.

@Moonsyne

I hope that's a good thing. I'll be sure to post about it...as it seem like not many people have one.

Anyways, I was really impressed by Chris's fine tuning method. He has a pvc pipe hooked up the mouth piece...and it looks like he controls the amount of air blown into the mouth piece to accurately tune the ocarina. Very impressive. We'll see if it pays off.

If the 12 holes are as nice (I have no reason to believe otherwise),
then that is a very good thing. They look even better in person.
