Hi All it is Chris from sixth street ocarina after 25 years of full time ocarina making I'm considering selling part of my business. The question is are there any budding ocarina makers who are interested in going full time making and selling ocarinas.
What I have to offer is :
Molds and original models for making pitched 5, 10 and 12 hole ocarinas
Training on how to make new molds and models for making creating your own designs.
Equipment needed to produce ocarinas of a professional quality in an efficient way (my main forming technique involves a ram press).
Training on making other sell able products including pendant whistles, chirping bird whistles and ceramic jewelry.
Insights into marketing and business management
The right person would be someone who has at least tried to make some ocarinas and understand the challenges of doing so. I wish I had the time to offer workshops to multiple people but I'm really more interested in hearing from someone who wants to buy a business and make ocarinas for a living.
The amount of money I need to get out of the business depends on a few things. How much training you need what equipment you want etc. We have room to house someone during training. I feel I have lots of good information to pass on and see this as a great opportunity for the right person.
Please contact me via email ocarina@socket.net if you are interested. Thanks much Chris Heuer owner Sixth Street Ocarina
