I'm not quite sure actually. Perhaps Morrowind. I've never played any FF games but that's probably alot of peoples favourite. |

Is Fable good? I've considered getting it for the longest time. Mine would be either Diablo 2 or Sacred. |

Errr... well It's not fantastic but not bad either. They were sort of over hyping it before release by saying it was so open ended and you get alot of choices etc. But really it's just the same damn option of good vs. evil. Of course this doesn't mean it's a bad game, just that it would have been a bit better recieved if they had kept their mouth shut while it was in the making. Supposedly Fable 2 is coming out this year, so maybe you should go for that instead. |

Am I allowed to say the unspeakable? The sum of all evil? The destructor of life? World of Warcraft! There I said it.... I made a lot of new experiences in this game since it was my first mmorpg and I start with a bunch of Friends and ended up in one of the most successful guilds of our realm. Even though most of my Friends I started with stopped playing from time to time I continued. Of course the game consumes like 80% of your time (of course i did not skip school to play ) but it was still great! I made a lot of Friends during this time and I still meat the on regular occasions. The big Guild Parties are always highlights! yaywhatever I stopped playing before my Final Exams but never realy got back in. I don't regret what I did since it was mostly fun but I guess some things would have been different oO Oh do mmorpgs even count oO? uuuuuum besides WoW..... I LOVE!!! Oblivion, didn't play Morrowind but Oblivion is just overwelming! Its so huge and still detailed in every aspect! I just love it Also Gothic rules ^^ one of the very few good german games

I don't usually play the games where you just run around and do stuff for the sake of leveling up and only becoming stronger
>.< That only works for me if there's actually something in it for me but the "thrill" of having spent 300 hours to reach level 100, only to delete the account and start over. It's only fun for me if you actually can do something with it... Like Tales of Symphonia Gamecube FTW! Dunno if you'd really classify it as an RPG, but you can get a lot of stuff in the game, and once you're done and start a new game you actually get to keep a lot of the stuff! There's one thing (not sure what it's called anymore) that you hardly use in the actualy game, but you can use it to buy "upgrades" for your next game (more experience, keep all your attacks, etc.). Then when you've completed that you can use all the stuff you've collected in your NEXT game. We're at about our fifth pass so far xD many many many hours in there
:P And you can have 99 different save games! It's so awesome ^^ too bad very few tales of games make it to europe/america...

I'm always for Final Fantasy. Final Fantasy has brought that life feel to things and has broken the limits of our imaginations. Not to mention there are actual lessons to be learnt in the game, and no...it's not taking out a full army with just a wingship, lol. Some of it just proves that without our fellow mates by our side, we couldn't get much done. Also, it teaches us to be noble and courageous even in the foulest of conditions! Anyhow though, I'm for Final Fantasy

Any particular FF games or all of them as a whole? A few more RPGs that I like are Illusion of Gaia, Lufia, Brainlord, Secret of Mana, Seiken Densetsu 3, Lunar: SSSC, and Lunar 2: Eternal Blue. Of those, I've only completed Illusion of Gaia. |

the elder scrolls series. although i have only really played 3 and 4. had a go at 1 but couldnt figure it out for the life of me. also tales of symphonia was ok. i didnt mind fable, but after passing it a few times round to get differnet titles i got sick of certain cut scenes. cant wait for 2 though. |

All I can say is epic ZELDA!!!! And yes, Zelda IS an RPG, because I researched it :P I guess they call it an rpg since you can choose your own name, and in Twilight Princess, you can change Epona's name, too. |

The Final Fantasy franchise is a no-brainer (particularly FFVI), Chrono Trigger, Earthbound, Legend of Zelda: A Link To The Past, Illusion of Gaia... seems as most of them are SNES based! ^_^

Zelda is an action RPG to be more specific. Zelda II (NES) is one of the closest to an RPG in the Zelda series. It actually has levels that you can raise in 3 different stats. The other Zelda games differ from traditional turn based RPGs because not only is the battle system an action battle system, but you don't raise levels. A game like Crystalis (NES) is a true action RPG because it has levels that you can raise by gaining experience points. You can buy and sell items and name yourself as well. It features inventory and status screens and two save slots! It also uses an action battle system, but allows more refined movement than the original NES Zelda. It also features real towns and NPCs to talk to. If you're a fan of Zelda, or RPGs in general, you'll definitely like this game! By the way, it also has amazing music! |

There was this one gameboy game I played a while ago...Dragon Warriors I believe it was called...took me forever to beat but it was my first RPG so its special in that way. Breath of Fire series are pretty good, the Final Fantasy I managed to get my hands on (which means not VII or VIII) and oh! I'm surprised no one said the original Knights of the Old Republic. Star Ocean I have played, Tales of Symphonia/Abyss...does Everquest count? |
