To tell the full truth... no, you are not doing it correctly. Read parts of the first RPG to get a better idea of what to do.

Ok I think I get it, so...

in the wondeful land of internatia when suddenly a man(thats me) crept out of the shadows wearing a mysterious cloak, people don't know who he is but since people show up dead when he is around they believe him to be a vicious killer, but what the villagers don't know is that the man is Chancellor Hadrian, government official by day, dangerous vigilante by night, the persons found dead are also people leading normal lives by day but are truely criminals! (Hadrian is the hero of our tale) Because of his night time activities he is very secretive and his alter ego is known by all, but Hadrian is so early in his career that oddly enough he does not know what people are calling him...

I think I'm right, I read through the last one but I'm not 100% sure, if I'm wrong, I'm very upset with myself...

A lady walked up to the door of an inn in Internatia, looking for a place to rest. She had been traveling for a while, searching for the source of many mysterious deaths. She had tracked the deaths to this area in the country and decided to do some investigating. Standing at 167 centimeters, she was just short enough to be overlooked in a hurry. But somehow, people's eyes always slid right past her, even when they weren't in a hurry. Ones who had the power to pierce through her seeming were greeted with a sardonic smile and just a barest hint of power. Those people quickly found another errand to run. Bright light violet eyes were set into an Asiatic face, although there seemed to be a hint of another people in her. Her eyes were coupled with reddish brown hair to deliver a dramatic impact when she chose to. Shaking the dust from her cloak, she peered into the dimly lit inn.

"Whaddyer want?" demanded a gruff innkeeper. "En whaddya doin' in these here parts? You not frem here." ..apparently strangers weren't welcomed here, perhaps that had to do with all those dead bodies appearing all over the place.

"..just a place to stay, I'm..." the lady stopped, unsure of what to say to belay the innkeeper's wariness. He stared at her, then abruptly shook his head. She didn't look like a killer to him.

"Fi' gold ones a nigh', pay in 'vance." The price was slightly outrageous, the service definitely so. But the lady merely raised an eyebrow and handed over fifty gold pieces. She made a show of flattening her drawstring bag after she dumped them out to convince the innkeeper it was all she had. Some of the bodies found dead were rich people, and she didn't want to have to fend off an ambush before she was ready.

The innkeeper handed up a key and went back to wiping the counter. He raised his head a moment later to see a brown cloak disappearing upstairs. "Stran'ers.." he muttered and resolved to triple lock his door that night. The lady looked around the room, and settled down to wait for night.

Hadrian had recently come inside the inn because it had rained for a short time beforehand, Hadrian watched the happenings between the inn keeper and the old woman with much amusment...Seeing as strangers never came to Internatia since Hadrian became a Vigilate, he decided that this woman was very suspicious, Hadrian quietly followed the woman up the creeking stairs of the in behing the woman, he knew he had to time his steps just right so that she would not hear him. As she slowly opened the door and snuck inside, Hadrian managed to sneak into the room and hide in the shadows. As the old woman closed and locked the door Hadrian spoke from under his brown cloak "Why woul' a lil' ol' lady such as yerself, come t' such a dangerous plac' such a' this? Lookin' teh geh yerself murdered eh?"

Aivedrai froze, shock written all over her body. She certainly hadn't heard anyone behind her. Must be getting lax on those magical wards lately.. good thing the man wasn't out to kill her or she'd be dead already.

Eh, how did she know he wasn't going to kill her? Well, he certainly wouldn't have taken all this trouble to stealthily follow her if he was going to kill her. Thank goodness she had the good sense to slap on a magical disguise of an old woman, no one would expect her to move with the agility of a 27 year old and defend herself if needed.

Aivedrai turned around slowly, as if her joints pained her. "Ju-jest follo-follaring me nose and seein' why dead'uns be turnin' up lately. They seems ta come frem aroun' 'ere." She stammered a bit in the beginning, trying to fall into the local cant. "I'm nah from tha' faraway." Her fingers tingled with power, ready to knock the man into oblivion if he so much as threatened her. On the exterior however, she maintained the look of an old woman, slightly befuddled at being confronted by a hard looking man who had seemingly popped out of nowhere.

The two stared at each other, the moment dragging on with a painful uncertainty. The two might have stared at each other for an eternity if it wasn't for a loud scream and the sound of horses coming from outside.

Hadrian's head whipped around to the door as he briefly struggled, torn between the desire to check out what happened on the street and the need to keep an eye on this suspicious stranger. When he flicked his head back though, he only saw the tail end of a brown cloak disappearing out the window. What the... Did that old woman just jump to her death or something? And how had she managed to move so quickly and quietly? Odd.. He shook his head and hurried out the door and down the stairs.

Aivedrai muttered a few words and her descent slowed dramatically, allowing her to gently alight on the cobblestone. There! An old lady was weeping over the still figure of an old man, and a small cloud of dust was rapidly fading away to the west. She started forward to question the old woman, but a man appeared from the inn's doorway and hurried onto the scene. That pesky man! Aivedrai drew her cloak around herself, traced a character in the air, and faded away from human eyes. She leaned against a wall to hear what the man would say.

After Aiverdrai jumped from the window Hadrian quickly but silently ran down the stairs, and out the door of the inn, as he exited he realized that he recognized the old woman who was weeping...his mother, and the man was his father! Strangely enough the man had no physical damage, but of course Hadrians alter ego would be to blame in these parts, fortunately for Hadrian his skills as a Vigilante allowed him to see what is not obvious to everyone else and he was able to locate Aiverai, with her disappearance he knew she was not anyone normal...He began to question wether she used her powers to injure someone outside as a distraction so she could escape...Because of his suspicions Hadrian snuck up beside Aivedrai and drew his dagger, though this must have looked odd to the people around him, taking someone who wasn't there hostage.

Aivedrai watched Hadrian approach, her eyes widening in shock as she realized he was staring straight at her and not some point behind her. And was that... a dagger he was raising? Well, it seemed that this gruff man was a lot more than met the eye. Friend or foe? Enemy or ally? Her mind quickly raced through the two definitions. To strike him down in the middle of the street would be folly, but to drop her seeming and materialize in front of witnesses would be equally stupid. Besides, why on earth would that man threaten her instead of going to help the elderly couple? He... must suspect her of something then. Perhaps as the cause of what just happened? Aivedrai chuckled, suddenly realizing how suspicious she must seem. Here she was, a stranger, choosing to stay at an inn where a lot of mysterious murders had been happening recently. For all she knew, this man just had a friend or family killed and was out for blood. If that was the case, she would not harm him. If he had more sinister motives though... her grin turned feral.

Peace. She mouthed at the man, spreading her hands out to indicate she meant no harm. He paused, briefly. Aivedrai made an inquiring gesture between him and the elderly couple. Was he going to shift his attention to them instead?

[edit] Wait.. oops. Did you mean to ambush me and take me hostage? I didn't quite get that reference. :>_>: I was leaning up against a wall... shall we say you approached me from the front and the story unfolds as I just typed it?

Meanwhile, in Ghragul'Bul, a beggar is begging for alms. He's Vrayewn, the last of prince the Ghryrs but had to hide himself as a beggar because Aivedrai stole all his riches and position. He's not a tall Ghryr, just slightly shorter than 210cm. His long, flaxen hair sways as the wind blows on it. His blue coloured skin shines as the sun ray drops on it.

In the day time Vrayewn collects alms from people, for he can steal people's soul who are merciful. At night time, he lay eggs.

A few more days of begging and my strength is full, he thought. I will hunt that witch Aivedrai down and make her eat my eggs.

Vrayewn's eggs can have 3 effects:

1)Heal the Ghryr who laid it

2)Give a friend of the Ghryr who laid it one of the abilities of Ghryrs(this is how Hadrian how his wonderful stealth abilities)

3) Kill a foe, if any part of the egg was ingested for any period of time

suddenly out of the east there was a massive explosion( :bomb: ). A man with a robe as red and dark as fresh blood stood at the center of it. And the next instant he was engulfed by a strange fire and disappeared. The villagers were very afraid of what may happen next.

the unknown mage decided to lay low for a while...or at least not show his face in town in case someone saw his face. He left to visit a city on an island not far from there where he had friends and could train in peace. With that thought in mind he started journeying south ward toward the small island unaware of what perils awaited him.

*wails* I wasn't captured!! I'm not evil!! Oh my gosh how did this take such a turn.. But I'll play along I guess.

Aivedrai walked, fuming. What the heck had happened? She had showed that she came in peace, and the next thing she knew the madman had leaped for her, crashed slapbang through her seeming, and taken her hostage. Worse, she had materialized in front of a street full of witnesses. So now the entire town knew she had magical powers. Great. She would never have a chance to capture the mysterious killer now.

And what on earth was wrong with this guy? He grabbed her and started walking away, not even paying heed to the old couple in the street. That old man looked dead. And perhaps she was wrong, but she could have sworn her captor had looked at the fallen old man with recognition.

Her mind swirling with confusion, Aivedrai considered her next options. Make her escape? She certainly had the abilities to do so and no longer had any qualms about not hurting this guy. But, she didn't know anything about him and anything about the town at all. Maybe it's best to play along and pretend she was a meek little captive for now. And urgh she also appeared her true age of 27 now, thanks to that idiot now marching her along the street.

Aivedrai fumed. And planned. And kept her eyes and ears open.

Vreyewn was sleeping on top of his eggs he had been warming for three months when he heard the explosion. He woke up with a startle and started jumping around. Fire and noise are two of the very few things he is afraid. Let's say it's his Achilles' Heels. After a few hours of jumping with fear, he finally calmed down. He was just about to sleep again when he saw the eggs. They were smashed into pieces when he was jumping! Vraywen made a loud shrieking noise that filled the entire globe. He was furious! He jumped around again, this time in fury.

After 7 hours of furious jumping and sceeching, Vreyewn finally grew tired and weary. I should sleep again, thought Vreyewn. He then falls asleep.

Finally the mysterious mage made it to his island training ground. the island was made by under water volcanoes which still continued to make new land. However this land was barren and the villagers had no reason to go on that side of the island. Especially because of the trecherous path that must be taken over the mountain. This meant total seclusion from the village.

He set up camp and started searching for something. After a while he found what he was looking for...a cave that had been covered up by fallen rocks. He created an opening just big eneough to squeeze him self through. He looked through the pitch black cavern and wondered how long it had been since his last lesson from his master.

He created a fire ball in his right hand for light and started towards the books of magic. never once had he been allowed to open these when his master was alive. But something caught his eye before he opened the books....it was a journal, HIS journal from 10 years ago. he knew it was his because it bore his name in big silver letters, "AODH" . "How long has it been since someone called me by that name" he said to him self in a reminicent tone.

AS hadrian walked through the painfully hot desert with his prisioner he began to feel very light headed, the sort of light headed you get when you haven't had anything to drink in days. As Hadrian looked for something to hydrate himself he passed out falling flat on his face, as he fell his dagger came closer and closer to Aiverdrai's neck, until it began slicing her throat, a bead of blood dripped from her neck as she evaded his falling blade, which then continued to fall and stab into his leg, no reaction...

Aivedrai looked down at her would be captor, her face looking like this: -_-. So the man starts walking through the desert without any equipment or water, maybe he's insane. That would explain his actions. It was too far away from the town to return, and she certainly couldn't haul him back with her strength or powers. Plus there was the slight problem that he had a knife embedded in his thigh...

Aivedrai briefly considered leaving him here, but then shook her head. While some may call her callous and cold hearted (she didn't like to hang around with fools, and it seemed that a great many people in the world were fools.), she wasn't about to let someone die from neglect. It seemed she was stuck with this fool for a while.

First things first, she held her hand over the man's thigh and the bleeding slowed to a trickle, as if something was applying pressure to the area. She bent down, concentrating ferociously, and swiftly pulled the knife out. Some blood spurted out, but quickly slowed down to a trickle again. Aivedrai examined the blade, good, it didn't seem like it had cut through bone. She held out her hand again and flexed her fingers. Good, the pressure would stay there until she could find some herbs. Shading her eyes from the sun as she looked up, she sighed. They would both die if she didn't find water. Glancing around, she took up a position as if she was merely stooping next to the man, as if she was checking up on a fallen companion. The furrow between her brow relaxed, and she became absolutely still.

Her body was still, but not her soul. Aivedrai had employed a complex technique and sent her soul soaring out of her body, out to scan the landscape. In this form, her soul appeared as a hawk. Soaring, she scanned for trees. There.. didn't.. seem.. aha! There it was, a bit to the west. A slight smudge of trees and water. Screeching, the hawk returned to the still body.

Aivedrai opened her eyes and stretched out her body. Great, now she would have to lug that man to the oasis. Sighing, she snapped her fingers and expended more energy. The two served to be an odd sight, a woman walking in front of a man's body that followed her. The man's head lolled on the sand, managing to catch a lot of sand in his mouth. Aivedrai looked down at the body floating beside her and grinned. Just a little bit of payback for taking her hostage!

After a couple hours, in which Aivedrai was starting to wish that she was the body and not the one doing the walking, they finally reached the oasis. She released her hold on the body with a sigh of relief, that man was heavy! She drank her fill of water, found some herbs and made a compress for the man's thigh, and started a small campfire. Looking at the still inert body, she snapped her fingers and the man rose again. Aivedrai dunked his head in the water a couple times, thinking lack of water might be why he passed out. After that, she restrained him with her power and waited for him to wake up.

After a short nap, Aivedrai woke up to the subtle feeling that someone was moving against her magical bonds. Cracking an eye open, she noticed that the man was stirring. Ah, the fool awakens, she thought. She made sure her bonds were secure, and said, "Alright, what's your name, why did you take me hostage, why did you leave that couple to die in the streets, and where the heck were you taking me?"

Before the man had a chance to wake up properly and answer, a thundering of hooves resounded through the tiny oasis. A man rode into the oasis riding a beautiful big white horse, wearing what seems to be a brown leather saddle with gold inlay. The man himself was tall, about 6 foot 2, with long blond hair that fell in front of his face. He wore a royal blue and bright red outfit, with puffy sleeves, puffy pants, leggings and white frills attached almost everywhere. As he jumped down off his horse, which immediately made for the small pool in the middle of the oasis, his blue and red hat fell to the ground, and he bent over to pick it up. As he stood up, adjusting the red feather on his hat, his face could be seen clearly for the first time. Besides the silly hat and clothes, he wore an oafish grin, like he was constantly happily bewildered, too proud to let it show, but too dumb to do so properly. As he walked towards the pool he noticed the man and woman under a tree at the other side, and made his way around the pool, uttering an “Aha!” as if he knew all along someone must be there, and, if possible, smiling even wider. As he walked around the pool he stumbled, nearly tripping over the long gold saber at his hip, which was inlaid with what appeared to be rubies and sapphires. As he made his way over to the man and woman it became apparent that beneath the silly clothes he was rather lanky, and he had trouble walking properly. He walked towards them with an air of superiority, as though he were taking a stroll through a beautiful garden, with not a care in the world.

“Well hello there, peasants. Lovely weather for riding, isn’t it? Say, you wouldn’t happen to know the way back to castle Ammawatchamacamaramamingamumamong would you?” He asked the question as if it was the most natural for everyone to know the way to a castle named Ammawatchamacamaramamingamumamong, even though he himself hadn’t the slightest clue whatsoever. He stood there, grinning sheepishly, waiting for an answer from either of the two, completely oblivious to the situation going on with the two.

Aivedrai facepalmed. Fools! The world was full of fools! She now devoutly wished she had washed her hands clean of the man (fool #1) before fool #2 showed up. Deciding to vent some of her irritation, she stood up, glared into the fool's eyes and let a hint of power leak out, enough to call up vague shapes of monsters and nightmarish creatures in the fool's mind. "No I do not, fool." She snapped. "Begone."

Now being the moron that he was Hadrian began to run believeing he was the fool being spoken to, so he ran away as fast as he could which wasn't very fast because of the wound in his though and his level of dehyration.

Hadrian got over the first sand dune, collapsed and slid down once again unconcious, the sliding sand behind him covered his body making him nearly invisible

The man looked perplexed. "I say, where did these blighters come from?" He waved at them with his hand, and noticed that he passed straight through them without touching. "Well that's odd. D'you think this is what they call a mirage? They're supposed to happen in the desert, aren't they?" He focused his attention back on the man, who had run away but was now rolling down the dune. "I say, what's gotten into him? D'you think he's all right?" Then, whispering behind his hand to the old lady, while eyeballing the man lying still at the bottom of the dune; "If you ask me, he's not quite right in the head. Running around and playing like a little child in the sand like that." He nodded once and stood still, looking disapproved at the other man.

Aivedrai paused, confused. She didn't have any seeming on, why did the fool seem to think she was an old woman? She shook her head and decided to be rid of this business. Aivedrai snapped her fingers and slowly disappeared from normal eyes. She walked over to the unconscious man, unclipped a water skin from his belt, filled it with water, then plonked it back down next to him. Sighing with annoyance that so much time had been wasted, she turned around and headed back to that town.

As soon as he saw her footsteps disappear over the dune Zene made his way over to the man. He was still unconscious, but in no danger of dying anytime soon. He picked him up flung him over his shoulder, making his way back to the oasis. There he grabbed a rope from one of the saddle pouches on his horse and tied the man up. The horse whinnied, splashing the edge of the water with his hoof.

"I know what you mean Bink, I'd love to get out of this idiotic outfit too. Go on then, wash yourself," he said, taking off the hat and wig, revealing shoulder length brown hair. As the horse wade deeper and deeper into the pool the water around him turned white, and once he was completely washed he exited the pool, showing he was actually a chestnut horse, with just a little patch of white on his head. Meanwhile, Zene undressed, swapping the ridiculously hot outfit for his green and brown travelling outfit. He donned a white cloak and wrapped his head in a white scarf, protecting him from the sun. He then proceeded to fill all his flasks with water, putitng them back into the saddle bags when he was done. He climbed onto Bink and rode to the top of the closest dune, in the direction the woman had gone.

If he was right, she was behind the whole attack. She didn't seem like the kind of person who would want to kill a king, but then again, looks are deceiving, and from what he had just seen she could mean trouble. He decided to follow her through the desert for a while, letting it do its job of seeping away her strength before making his move.

"you can never be too careful," he thought as he spurred Bink to a slow trot, following the footsteps quickly fading in the sand.
