I checked Pacchioni's website and he still has ocarinas for sale. Though if he really is retiring, then I suspect these are the remaining stock, and won't be replenished.

Unfortunately, Master Pacchioni is retiring. :(

His message is very clear.

"End of my activity as an ocarina maker.

Dear Users of my website (which will be closed soon), after a number of years of constant research, aimed at the evolution of the Italian Ocarina, in the field of 'multichamber ocarinas', having achieved more than satisfying results in making a reliable and versatile musical instrument, with a reasonable extension and a vast range of bi-chords in all kind of consonances and dissonances: I consider accomplished my task and, thanking colleagues and supporters who have helped me, gratifying me with their attention, I cordially greet all of you and I wish you all the best".

It is a farewell message.

The ocarina world is losing a wonderful and excellent maker. :(

I wish Pacchioni well in his retirement. I have a number of his ocarinas, and they are among the best ever made.

I am very sad to hear this. I have been looking for a double polyphonic ocarina and this makes my list significantly shorter. What a master.

Sadly, it appears his ocarina website is now down.
