Has anyone ever tried their ocarinas? Aparently they mostly go to festivals, and they are coming to one near me, so I was wondering if anyone has ever tried them.

Thanks. :)

Small recovery, increased speed
I acquired my first ocarina a few days ago (A 6-hole pendant), and it was from them. For one, their ocarinas are gorgeous - I just love looking at mine. They have a really neat handmade look to them that just gives them a cool feeling.

My opinion isn't really too helpful, because I just started playing and this is the only I've ever had. However, I do like it - I will be buying a better one in the near future, but this one has been good to learn on. Aside from being iffy on the higher notes (though that could just be my inexperience), it sounds pretty good for a cheap ocarina.

So, if you're looking to start learning one, it's what I'm using and it's working pretty well for me, just don't expect it to be your primary ocarina. For the pendants, at least - I haven't played their sweet potatoes because they were more than I was wanting to pay to see if I liked the instrument.

Oh, and it can't play F sharp, which is strange, but hey...

I take it these are from the USA? So I'll move it to regional focus.

If not from US please let me know, so I can move it to the correct forum ;)

Please get a Photobucket account! They do not require people to click download buttons. All my picture tabs (which includes the Shire Song) are hosted there. You can find a complete list of my tabs in the thread link in my signature.

You can do what I do and sign up for a free website, then use it primarily to host audio. :D

something else
http://www.mediamax.com/
MediaMax - Free Online Storage - Share Videos and Photos - Online MP3 Access

I have an account their. First to upload ANYTHING you want. From documents(including PDFs) to videos. Then you host it in the Host folder. Make sense if you register an account. But its free for like up to 2 gig i think :dumb: and just get the link when u upload it then click on it and u see the stream file. :D

EDIT: https://www.thelinkup.com/Secured/Login.aspx , it got upgrade. I think its free since they didnt ask me a credit card o.o

Saw a pic...Caution from an acomplished ocarina maker: notice the glaze or color got into the holes around the edge, this is a big no no as the slightest adjustment of the holes will ultimately change the tuning. even in minute ways, this can be a big pain. So watch for the finger holes to be sure they are not sloppily painted etc.

And as always...it's better to buy an instrument in person as everyone has different tastes and it is impossible to see or experience one fully without being there to see it, touch it, hear it etc......( i know...i'm putting up more sound bytes of the new turtles etc soon) this is just general info.

Poor excuse for an ocarina-player.
To be honest, these ocarinas don't appeal to me visually. They look amateurishly made, and if they look amateurish I wonder how they sound.

I don't intend that as an insult. I'm just stating my thoughts.
