Does not approve of christmas

I just found this site while searching for ocarinas. I haven't seen these ocarinas before.
They seem to have some very nice looking 10 holes.
Have anyone seen these before?

The black ones are painted clay. They were made in Austria a long time ago, and the maker has produced a new version of them in unpainted clay. There are photos of both, for comparison.

Mm..? They look quite normal to me. It's very interesting to see the smallest one labelled piccolo.

I don't know what the current policy is, but in the past he would not sell to people overseas, but would trade ocarinas.

It's only listed in the German language section, under Link.

From what I can make of the site they mostly just travel the markets and fairs in europe, selling their ocarinas there and giving performances. I think they're also planning on making their ocarinas available over the internet at some point, though I don't know for sure (I thought I read that somewhere on their german site).

That Ocarina looks a lot like the one a Friend of mine just bought online.
He said something about an austrian maker...
If I recall correctly a store in munich sells them but they didn't sell the Zelda replica so he ordered it online.
Got to ask him by any chance for further informations.

Oh yeah, the Zelda replica is limited and only available from time to time and only over the internet.
They still don't deliver overseas though. :3

Last year, in an email, Johann Rotter told me that their ocarinas may become available in the United States if they make a deal with a distributer here. He also gave me this link to the wholesale site: http://www.okarina.at

Yeah I know... it's a pity that they don't sell overseas themselves though...
Oh well, doesn't really bother me since I live in Europe. :>

Weird that there's no English version of the wholesale site though, nevertheless there's an order form available in English...

But how are US or other wholesalers able to find it? |D

You can find the order form here, just scroll down, there's a link that reads englisch.

They have some beautiful colored ocarinas there :) Nice two tone ones that gradually change color. Also 2 ocarina sets :) Plus a couple of shaped ones. I wonder if anyone has tried out their other ocarinas here...

Hum...
I'm having a hard time finding 12h Ocarinas :(
I went to the bigest Music store of Munich today but they "only" sell the 10Holes made by Rotter.
I asked about 12Hole Ocarinas but they seem to be pretty unkown arround here.
Hopefully one of you guys can help me out and give me some advice on where to find a 12H Ocarina in Europe :D
Maybe I'll just have to take look oversea....

Maybe try Focalink. http://www.focalink.com.tw/product_en.php
They have excellent 12 holes for great prices.
Shipping is not too bad either!

I'm from Austria myself and have a Rotter ocarina. It's white with red veins on it and I'm really happy about it especially since I boughtv it in a store in Graz and had the chance to test it first.
THough I didn't really like the animal ones (neither tune nor colour , but maybe I'll try again concerning the tune...it might have been the colours that distracted me...)
I'd gladly buy another Rotter ocarina and if I'd find one of those black ones it would be awesome.
