Hmm, I just attempted to beatbox with my ocarina just to see if I could, but it was hard. I'm not very good at beatboxing in the first place. Well, at least not in the way everyone else does it. |

well, in order to do it on the ocarina, you'd need to be able to do it without putting your mouth on it - which would require really strong breathing and/or a more sensitive ocarina (i've tried, and i have neither). the flute is a much more accommodating instrument for beatboxing (and singing, probably). also, greg patillo is awesome. so is his band. Greg Patillo is a great flutist, and despite his unorthodox methods, he is classically trained. Also, As far as beatboxing with an ocarina goes, I'm pretty sure it's impossible... You can do it with the flute because of the way the headjoint (mouhtpiece) is played. |
