I took a brief looksee through Taiwanese makers and Chung Han's Ocarina Workshop looked interesting. He offers transverse 12 holes: http://www.leoshop.com.tw/shop/main14.asp?...ID=5105&Style=1 Also offers pendants: http://www.leoshop.com.tw/shop/main14.asp?...ID=5100&Style=1 This is a new one for me, 7 holes: http://www.leoshop.com.tw/shop/main14.asp?...ID=5103&Style=1 Novelty ocarinas: http://www.leoshop.com.tw/shop/main14.asp?...ID=5102&Style=1 Purple clay whistles: http://www.leoshop.com.tw/shop/main14.asp?...ID=5104&Style=1 That's quite a hefty selection from one maker, and according to his shipping policy he does ship overseas: http://www.leoshop.com.tw/shop/eng-pay.htm Unfortunately that's the only part of his site in English. If anyone's interested though I can translate for you. If there's enough interest I can approach him about making an English translation for his site. Thought I'd share!

I like his necklace ocarina found in the novelty page, but GEEZ who has fingers small enough to play that? I think I'd swallow it whole when I try to put some air into it. :P |

The prices are certainly great. 12-hole Alto C for But the sound is quite good actually. There are sound samples for some of the ocarinas in their product page. [EDIT] Doh, I thought the prices were in Chinese Yuans. Didn't notice that the maker is Taiwanese in which case the prices are in probably in Taiwan Dollars instead. So the price of the Alto C is 160USD instead. Not that bad actually (only 30USD more than Maparam). |

I don't think they're actual ocarinas. :P They look like little pendants to me... and no, NOT pendant ocarinas. Just pendants. XD I made myself a little ocarina necklace like that outta sculpy once. It's not a functional ocarina. XD But they ARE quite nice to wear... Adorable, even! |
