No, I didn't make it, I just found it. I think you'd have to have only certain notes, such as the five from Zelda. Then it would be just like Guitar Hero except sideways. Or, if you had a model ocarina that had 12 buttons, one for each hole, you could actually play it and have it go into the game. But in that case, you might as well just play a real one. |

YAY! Ocarina Hero..... instead of Guitar hero! would make a really good game indeed xD but un/fortunately, it's more fun to play the real instrument. |

Guitar Hero uses what Wikipedia calls a "guitar-shaped peripheral" for game play. ROFL. I can imagine an "ocarina-shaped peripheral".

Brilliant! Makes me think of my pet theory for the next step in the Wii (assuming motion sensing technology goes the next step to brainwaves, haha)... "Wii Gen. 2 will need human shaped peripherals to play. Guide included." |

I would seriously buy this game, seeing as I am an avid music game fan! I've seen some other Guitar Hero spoofs on the net, Accordeon Hero I believe was one of them. Ah if only the western world could enjoy the fun that is Pop'n Music! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DoLiT5glGnA |

DDR god

actually, i thought about making something similar to this, but it would work with other instruments too. Basically, it would show actual notation, is a scrolling manner similar to GH and DDR. It would then use sound recognition and a small microphone/line in to tell if you are playing the right notes. My brother said I should make it for guitar, but it could work on ocarina too. Of course I haven't actually made this yet, but I'm learning to program in Python over the summer, so it might happen one day. If it does (unlikely, but maybe), I'll be sure to post it here first. |

Yeah, I'd love to see it if you end up making it! I've been trying to think of a way to make it in RPG Maker. I know it is possible, but it would probably be laggy. I've already made a game where you could play the ocarina (see it here: Turbo's Map), but I'd have to find a way to detect if you are playing the correct note and at the correct time. And then have the notes scroll on the screen. I think it's possible, but a lot of work. It would probably work better with actual programming. Edited by Turbo852, Jul 9 2008, 06:46 PM.

I'll join the "me too" bandwagon. I've been planning on making similar game since I got interested of the ocarina, about 6 months ago. Maybe I will try to do it some day, maybe I won't. |

that would be the greatest game ever lol. it wouldnt be that hard to make it work just use buttons or sensors where the wholes would be and a wind sensor(they have those) where your mouth would be. i think you should call up wii and make some$$ off this lol |
