tngocarina.com is currently under construction. When it is completed (about a month or more from now), it will offer quality ocarinas made by TNG of Taiwan for the right prices! Payment will accept Paypal or Credit card (or both). ![]()

Poor excuse for an ocarina-player.

Y'know, those so-called enigma ocarinas are very pretty. I think a blue one with a .Δ. ΔΔ on the mouthpiece would sell extraordinarily well. |

Do they sell quadruple ocarinas now? They have updated their website and in the video there is a triple (blue and white) with an additional part, that may be a forth chamber... Or maybe its just there to add a neckstrap :P Any ideas? http://www.tngocarina.com/web/index.asp?userid=801506&lang=eng Edited by Lanea, Nov 18 2008, 09:48 AM.

Really? Can you post a direct link to the new ocs? It's a bit of a messy site to trawl through

Oh I think I see the ones your talking about in that video. It looks like it's there for a neckstrap to me although it's pretty long for some reason, maybe it's really heavy or something. Oh and where the heck is that music coming from?! Hmm well I just looked that that ocarina more closely and I think it might be an extra sub hole or something...maybe. http://www.tngocarina.com/web/viewpicture.asp?userid=801506&lanmuid=7636805&ContentID=1784797 Here's a link. I sure hope everyone hasn't figured this out in another thread... Edited by Tye Possum, Nov 23 2008, 03:48 AM.

I myself own the Enigma and quite frankly it is the only TNG thats worth buying (asides from the purple clay) and worth the price. The rippling and aqua color does produce the effect of water and the sound is very crisp and clean. When I first started playing it I was surprised it sounded this good. The sub hole is the only thing I got beef with the thing has the diameter of a thumbtack no joke. |

My sister owns one of their horn ocarinas, and compared to my standard STL tenor, that horn ocarina sounds really beautiful. I was a bit disappointed with mine, as we ordered those together and the horn sounding so much better for the same price. (more resonant, clean and less airy tone) Has anyone compared the horn ocarina to the enigma or the newer infinity? Oops, thats not TNG ocarinas... sorry... Is it possible to move this post over to STL Ocarinas? Edited by Lanea, Nov 24 2008, 07:36 AM.

There actually isn't a thread for STL ocarinas, are they are an Ocarina distrubutor and not a maker. TNG/WPN makes the ocs STL sells, so feel free to discuss your ocs here.

The horn ocarina is one of the ocarinas that bares the STL insignia on the left side but I don't know for sure if this is one of their (we make a few of our own ocarinas) ocarina because they never really honestly want to let you know about the origin of any of there products until you force them. Getting back on topic did any one see their new painted ocarinas. What I meen by painted is that these have a design painted on them that resembles an ocarina that was discussed in this topic.http://theocarinanetwork.com/topic/6505010/1/#new This ocarina cost 1000 bucks but TNG used the same patter and it sell on stl at around 135 dollars I believe. I think it looks nice but just to have it in your china cabinet, not between your lips. |

Maybe the Ti amo ocarina is painted with real gold color and expensive blue and STL uses some cheaper paint? And the patterns are not exactly the same, STLs is a lot easier to do, so the painter will be faster. |

I suppose we don't really know whether WPN makes all the STL ocarinas. They might contract work out to other manufacturers. So the problems of some WPN ocs may not affect them all. I'm still curious about that infinity design, but I don't like the no return policy. |

The Enigma is pretty decent sounding. Except for the last 3 notes and those nasty subholes. I don't think it's worth the total price I paid though. But that does include expensive shipping to the Netherlands and customs tax.
